Planning Best Practice

A well-constructed programme acts not just as an agreed schedule of dates, but must perform coherently and stand up to interrogation with the ultimate aim of providing clear foresight of project performance with the correct information.

Logic and links are tested for robustness, float and critical path analysis is carried out to optimise the programme, and then the project is baselined in advance of the commencement of works following sign-off by the client. Progress monitoring is carried out using dashboard reporting in agreement with the client’s requirements.

It is with this in mind that Metisplan will not only develop the project programme to provide the correct representation of project scope, sequencing, phasing, timescale, and key activities & milestones, but also take stewardship of the planning management and reporting process to provide a consistent and professional approach.
